Wye River

We snuck away with our beloved camper for a few days before Christmas. What an awesome way to start the school holidays!

A morning in the city!

We love an excuse to catch the train and after a few poor air quality days stuck mostly inside today seemed like the perfect day to catch the train into the city and check out the gallery and have an explore.

A day at Scienceworks Museum…

We had such a great time exploring the Air Playground exhibit at Scienceworks museum last week. I’m not sure that we’ve ever lasted five hours somewhere before so that is testament to the fun that we had.

Eva was 8 (four months ago…oops)

Somehow Eva’s birthday came and went and I forgot to keep a record of the festivities here. Oh dear! Better late than never. Happy birthday gorgeous girl. Thanks for making sure everyone is always laughing… you are heaven with a cherry on top!

Lazy gingerbread cookie houses!

I’m so happy with how these turned out considering we don’t have ‘Graham’ crackers here in Australia which nearly every cookie house on the internet used. So here’s my Aussie version. Instructions to follow pictures keep scrolling down! You’ll need: 1 egg white 1 3/4 to 2 cups icing sugar sifted Half teaspoon lemon juice…

It’s not September school holidays without a trip to the tulip festival. I get so blown away by the beautiful colours every year, it never gets old! The kids are in it for the tractor ride, fairy garden and dutch pancakes. Fair enough really!!

A trip to Inverloch

What a fun-filled few days we’ve just had in the little seaside Victorian town of Inverloch. We stayed at the Big 4 caravan park which was in a fantastic location just a stone’s throw from the water with bountiful drift wood to keep the kids busy making forts. Well that’s when they’d actually let us…
